What to Wear for Family photos // Utah Family photographer

I want to make this post as short and concise as possible. These are steps that I recommend you take to get the perfect outfit combo for your family.

  1. Pick out mom’s dress first, then color coordinate each family member.

  2. Pinterest or google color combos: these are some of my favorite color combos. I like to stay more neutral or muted colors.

You don’t have to go with these above but they are an easy option.

3. I recommend staying away from bright or neon colors, especially bright orange, red or pink. They will make your skin tones look more pink/red in the photos.

4. I don’t like everyone matching, wearing the same thing because you don’t know where the person starts or stops, it gets muddied together.

5. I love to see textures, layers and accessories.

6. As far as patterns go, I recommend only a few in patterns (1 to 3 ratio). Great Patterns could be danty floral patterns, plaid or buffalo print. I would avoid horizontal or busy stripes and logos.

7. These are some stores I recommend for moms clothes: Ivy City Co., ASOS, Roolee, One loved babe, and Jessa kae.

8. Stores I recommend for dad: Zara, Cotton On, Target, H&M, and Old Navy.

9. Stores I recommend for kids: Zara,, H&M, Ivy City Co, Target, Quincy Mae, and Roolee.
